Ebay announced Tuesday that they are divorcing Paypal

Ebay announced Tuesday that they are divorcing Paypal.  So both  companies can develop their very different business.

 Where does that leave the little guy like me the sellers on Ebay. Ebay has been running erratically for some years now.
 They are losing business to Amazon and now to Apple. As these companies develop their own credit lines. So Ebay has a
 lot too  prove in the next  years as they develop their business. As a seller on Ebay for many years I wonder how this
 is going to effect me the little guy, the seller. I have already been making moves to stabilize my business before this
 announcement by developing my own website to sell from, looking for  start up money for my own business. These decisions
 were made after Ebay made several big decision about what could be sold and what could not be sold on their site without
 ever telling the seller. These strategies have made it very hard for the little guy to  plan any kind of long term business.

 Many have been unhappy about how Ebay and has charge a final value fee contingent on the amount of postage charged this seemed
 pretty shady to most sellers not even really legal.  Also the policies made about not giving discounts to sellers of some items
 like jewelry. That  was one  of the decisions that for me soured my relationship with Ebay. With no warning what so ever the free
 listings that were offered carried a penalty if you were selling fixed price or certain items like jewelry. So the small seller is
 wondering if this trend will continue under new management. It seems like EBay is trying to get rid of the  small seller.
 They have been moving away from the image of the online garage sale to bigger companies prevailing. They want too compete with
 Amazon but they are not Amazon and should stick too what they do best. Nothing is wrong with the online garage sale image. So
 \don't fix something that is working and has worked the last 19 years.

 Well,I guess we will all have to wait and see but this girl is going to go on planning a business of her own and not depend on eBay or Pay pal for her living. But it will be interesting to observe the changes that will take place in the nest year
 The small seller should not be effected to much until the divorce of  the two big companies actually takes place in the middle of the next year
